About DNAGedcom

Purpose

The core of the team developing this project noticed a need for documents and tools to interpret the results of DNA tests that people were taking for genealogical guidance. The tools and documents were primarily for the use of Adoptees looking for birth family but are not limited to that purpose. In addition to the first data extraction and manipulation tools, there is a need for additional analysis and modelling of the data to the end of developing decision making software that will construct actual relationships from Chromosome data and from comparing gedcoms which are data extracts from family trees.

Goal

The goal is to reduce the human involvement in extracting, measuring the data, to provide software for solutions for DNA matching from results and to determine relationships from this data and family trees and to provide additional metrics and comparisons not now available to the user.
